Outreach Committee

The Outreach Ministry is supported by Special Benevolence offerings. The committee uses these funds for charities that are offering services to those in need. An Outreach Calendar was created by the Council, which the Outreach Committee oversees. Any requests for giving will be on this calendar, and will be approved by Council. This year, some of OSL's benevolence offerings have supported the following: Luther Heights Valley House Neighbors In Need Salvation Army Lutheran World Relief Heifer Project Int’l. Smile Train Jon Francis Scholarship Fund PLU Scholarship Savings Account Giving for fall garden produce, Canocopia money and Thanksgiving offering to Neighbors in Need totaled $357. More than 200 food items were also given during Canocopia. Foster Kids were supported at Christmas with 15 gifts and $55 from OSL. A knitting group that OSL members belong to also sent 17 knitted hats. We are extremely pleased to be members of such a generous and caring congregation.
